Parents with Prams
Extra wide parking for those visitors with small children in prams. Located close to the Ritchies IGA Entrance off Arthur Street.
  
Accessible Parking
Our accessible parking bays are wider than other parking spaces to make access to and from the centre easier. Accessible parking bays are located near all the centre's entrances.  
                               
Breakdown Pick-Up Point
There is a conveniently located NRMA meeting point at Park Beach Plaza.  Phone NRMA on 13 11 11 and meet outside Australia Post on the Pacific Highway side of the centre.

 

Park Beach Plaza Smoke Free Policy
Park Beach Plaza recognises that Environmental Tobacco Smoke (ETS) is hazardous to health and that non-smokers should be protected from exposure to tobacco smoke.  Accordingly, Park Beach Plaza has developed the following policy to ensure protection of the health and safety of those who work at and visit Park Beach Plaza.

Considerations for the changes also reflect a range of legislation protecting customers, staff, retailers and their employees from the effects of Passive Smoking including:

  • Occupational Health & Safety Act 1997 (NSW);  (Work Health and Safety (WHS) Act, on 1 January 2012.
  • Workers Compensation Act NSW 1987.
  • Consideration of Common Law obligations for employees and visitors.

Smoking Bans
As from Monday 13 February 2012 smoking is prohibited by all persons within 10 metres of any centre or store entrance and includes all awning areas around the centre as well as:

  • Cafes seating areas
  • Internal air-locks
  • Outdoor seating areas
  • Retailer shops
  • Service passages and fire corridors
  • Amenities blocks
  • All internal/closed areas of the centre

Compliance
The Park Beach Plaza Smoke Free Policy must be adhered to at all times.  Exceptions will not be granted.  Non-compliance will result in the individual:

  • Being asked by Centre Management or a representative of Centre Management to cease breaching the policy and being told of the Park Beach Plaza smoke free policy
  • Being warned by Centre Management or a representative of Centre Management and being issued a letter for continual breaches of the policy
  • Being asked to leave the centre by Centre Management if the breach is continued after a warning has been issued.

This policy will be reviewed at least once every six (6) months.

Why is a designated smoking area being created?
Park Beach Plaza will provide the Designated Smoking Area for customers, lessees and their staff.  Whilst there is no legal obligation to provide such an area, Park Beach Plaza recognised that the decision to smoke is a personal choice.  The Designated Smoking Areas will be located outdoors, will be clearly marked with signage and well ventilated.

The introduction of this policy is an important step forward for Park Beach Plaza and we thank you in advance for your co-operation as we implement this policy.
